IIFA Awards 2016 Highlights
- Bollywood filmmakers, actors and technicians have been showing lot of interest in public appearances after the wide expansion of social networking and internet as they will be getting wide popularity.
- Many actors and actresses have been performing live on stage during the events. Earlier it was National awards and Filmfare awards however, now number of film awards and ceremonies have now been increased all over.
- The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) is now one of the prestigious event which became widely popular.
- IIFA Awards are the set of awards presented annually to honour artists and technicians in various fields in Bollywood. IIFA has been instituted in 2000, the award ceremonies have been held every year in different countries far from India.
- The South Indian cinema celebrated IIFA Awards separately and this year IIFA is being held for Bollywood in Madrid.
- The celebrations officially kick started recently and a special press conference has been held. The event took place in Hotel Westin Palace.
- All the top actors along with technicians and the media along with the organizing committee attended the press conference.
- Top actors like Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Shilpa Shetty, Sooraj Pancholi, Tiger Shroff, Fawad Khan and other actors attended the event.
- Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Karan Johar and other top filmmakers too made it for the event despite of their busy schedules. Many top actors received special shields for their presence during the opening ceremony of the awards.
- The makers have been making the event lavish and grand. All the top actors stepped for the ceremony in advance and they have been practising to perform well on stage.
- Sources revealed that all the top actors, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Priyanka Chopra, Tiger Shroff will perform live on stage. All the actors and actresses have been seen bonding with each other during the event.
- IIFA Awards 2016 is said to take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Several programs have been planned throughout and the event will end up with the award ceremony. More details to be revealed soon.
