Akira Movie Review
The script is more or less similar to the original film from which it has been adapted. However, Murugadoss has tried to make things innovative and bring some uniqueness in it. The film revolves around Sonakshi Sinha who has gone from Bubbly girl to Angry young woman. It’s good to see her in a new avatar.

However, the film seems to be predictable as most the storyline is the same of the original Tamil movie. So, she hasn’t really very much unique. Thus, it becomes an ordinary play for those who have already watched the film or knows about it. It gives too many loo breaks to the audience. However, if you are a fan of Sonakshi, you would love to watch her trying action scenes. On the whole, the story is predictable.

Star performance
The film revolves around Sonkashi, the most of the time. It appreas that the rest of the actors are just for formality. However, some of them have done an excellent job in that short span of screen appearance. Sonakshi steals the show.

She has given one of her best on-screen performances. Though she has performed action for the first time, it appeared that she has done it before and looked like an expereinced action hero in the movie. She was impressive with her tight kicks and sharp action sequences. She makes the film worth watching.

Other supporting actors have done a good job with their characters. Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has done some cool actions making his role a decent one.

Direction, Music and Other elements
The direction is fine but it could have been better. The credit goes to the original script. The director could had put more efforts and introduced changes to make it unique and different in terms of direction and filmmaking.

The movie has good fine music. Some of the songs are the chartbusters. There was a lot of room for improvement in departments like photography, action, screenplay, and action. On the whole, the film’s technicality and other filmmaking elements are good. However, we had expected a lot more from ace director AR Murugadoss.

Akira Rating

3/5.

Akira Last Word
Overall, the film ‘Akira’ is a good production with decent story.  It could have a stronger script with entertainment elemtns. Sonakshi’s deccent performance has given boost to it. The fats depends on the world of mouth among the audience.

  1. Akira will be a big flop due to only a women in lead role and there is no man in lead role, in India a women in main lead can’t be make a Hit movie, actually media is confusing audience and trying to make hit a movie on social networking basis as we have heard about Shivaay and A Dil Hai Mushkil, On Yesterday just watched movie “A Flying Jatt” and would like to say that movie is awesome with good message to country and very great work by Tiger Shroff and Amrita Singh along with Gaurav Pandey, Actually media is trying to get down the movie by criticising the movie and Tiger Shroff and Media has try to get down Baaghi also and this time if movie was so bad then it would not be able to earn Rs. 34 Crore in its starting 5 days only.
