Baar Baar Dekho Review Rating; Freaky Ali and Baar Baar Dekho movie are releasing this Friday. The romantic comedy starring Katrina Kaif and Sidharth Malhotra in lead roles is the Bollywood directorial debut of Nitya Mehra. Below is our Bar Bar Dekho Movie Review.

Sidharth and Katrina have come together to share the stage for the first time. Along with them, the film stars Sarika, Ram Kapoor, Taaha Shah Badusha, Sayani Gupta, and Rohan Joshi in supporting roles. Rajit Kapur has a cameo. Karan Johar and Farhan Akhtar have produced it under their banners and in association with Eros. It is shot in the UK and India.

Story
Love has always been complicated, and it is a love story of two love birds Jai Verma (Sidharth) and Divya Verma (Katrina). Jai is a brilliant mathematician who seems to ignore that he is in love with Divya. He loves her but denies to believe the fact due to one or the other reason. In the end, he accepts that Divya is his lady love. Jai gets the power to vision his relationship in future and even his after-retirement days. On the whole, the film rolls between past, present, and future.

Though the makers deny that it’s not a love story, the events involved in the film makes it fall under the same genre. It looks like that the flick has a unique story and the way of storytelling somewhat confuses the audience. Thus, it requires a little presence of mind and some common sense.

Performances
As told above, before the wedding day, Jai gets the ability to travel forward in his life and visits several moments of his future life like his honeymoon, wife’s delivery, and post-retirement days. Except for the old age times, he looks good.

The ‘Student of the Year’ star doesn’t have the heft to pull off such a substantial role. In his old phase, his acting doesn’t come out spontaneously. The dejected soul looks terribly contrived. Even the old phase of Katrina donning a fake gray wig doesn’t go too well. Those phases are simply amateurish.

However, the moments in which the couple tries to work through their skewed work-life balance keeps the film afloat. It’s a common problem that new couples face. On the whole, the pair of Sidharth and Katrina is enough to keep the fans engaged.

Direction, Music, Screenplay and other elements
The film is made with decent direction. The credit goes to Karan and Farhan who have backed Nitya. The script had a lot of opportunities to make the screenplay even interesting. So, it could be better utilized, if implemented well.

The songs of the movie are loved by people. Some of them are chartbusters like ‘Kala Chasma’. The music is good along with editing, screenplay, and photography are also good. There are some exotic locales involved which are a bliss to watch.

Last Word / Verdict
Overall, the film has a right combination of beautiful performances, music, the presence of Katrina and Sidharth, and some other stuff. Katrina looks gorgeous in two pieces. On the whole, the film is entertaining. However, it’s not a ‘baar bar dekho’ flick. Reserve it for just one watch.
