After scoring mass super hits in his career during his early days, he became one of the top actors among the youngsters. (see: Dictator collections.)

However, things changed later as he failed to impress the audience with his films. Though he has been one of the highest paid actors in Tollywood, he failed to re-create the magic by scoring a huge commercial hit. Some of his movies like Temper impressed the audience big time, but the movie fell short by ending up collecting Rs 40 crores at the boxoffice.

Tarak signed a class entertainer for the first time in his career in the direction of Sukumar and the movie has been titled as Nannaku Prematho. The movie is about the relationship between a father and his son in the movie. The film has been shot exclusively in London, Spain, and Hyderabad.

The movie has been made on a budget of Rs 50 crores and the makers have done a pre-release business of Rs 60 crores. Tarak has taken his time and he made a stylish makeover for the movie.

The film shot fame after the release of the theatrical trailer of the movie. The audio of the film was a smashing hit all over and the expectations on the movie reached the peaks. The flick has been aimed for Sankranthi and is the first film to be released during the season.

The talkie released on January 13th in a record number of theatres across the world and the movie received a wide response from the audience all over. Rajendra Prasad and Jagapathi Babu played the other important leads in the film. The film collected huge money during the holiday season though Balakrishna’s Dictator and Nagarjuna’ss Soggade Chinni Nayana released all over.

It is the first film of NTR to cross Rs 50 crore mark all over and is the first film of NTR to collect 2 million USD in the USA. Tarak has been extremely happy with the success of the film and he thanked the audience for making the film a stupendous hit.

Devi Sri Prasad composed the music and Vijay K Chakravarthy is the cinematographer. BVSN Prasad produced his movie on Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra banner. Nannaku Prematho made up Rs 54.34 crores in 19 days of its box-office run all over. Tarak’ss performance in the film has been well appreciated by the audience.
