Story:
Nanaku Prematho is the story of Abhiram (NTR) who comes from a settled family and works in Spain. He loses his job after which he plans to start a company KMC. At this time, he gets a call that his father (Rajendra Prasad) who is suffering from a serious disease and will not live for long. (read: Express Raja review.)
Abhiram hears a painful past of his father after which comes to know about Krishna Murthy (Jagapathi Babu) who cheats his father. Analysis:
The first half of the film has been entertaining and decent throughout. The movie has some real emotions which connect to the audience after the entry of Rajendra Prasad’s character. The songs have been melodious and entertaining. The interval episode brings a lot of curiosity on the film and, on the whole, the complete first half of the movie is a winner and is decent throughout. (read: Dictator review.)
The second half of the flick has many flaws and the original needed emotion has not been carried in the film. The movie dips badly at parts though it has been brought back well. The pre-climax and the climax episodes which are most important fail to make any impact which disappoints the audience. On the whole, the second half of the film ends on a disappointing note.
Performance:
NTR who proved his acting skills has done one more terrific role in the movie. He has been stupendous throughout the film and he carried the complete film on his shoulders. Rakul Preet Singh manages the much needed glamorous touch for the film and Rajendra Prasad, Jagapathi Babu managed the other emotions. All the other actors managed to do their jobs perfect throughout.
The story of the film is quite simple and is about a revenge drama. The screenplay has not been gripping enough for an emotional entertainer like the flick. The dialogues have been just ok. The cinematography has been terrific and eye catchy. The music and the background score elevated the film well. The production values have been grand enough and Sukumar fails to bring out the needed emotion in the movie.
