Neerja Box Office Collections: After struggling hard on box office with high production values and an amazing storyline, Neerja collections have finally crossed 100 crore rupees. The time was taken to set up this record was five weeks for the movie. Sonam Kapoor and Salman Khan’s film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo have crossed nearly 200 crores in the similar span of time.
The movie released on around 700 screens in India and 200 screens overseas. Getting banned in Pakistan was negative for the film production. Being produced by Fox Star Studios, it was an average budget film constituting different aspects to be a hit.
Sonam Kapoor has introduced as the daughter of legendary actor Anil Kapoor, and she took so much time to impress the audience. She has criticized because of her poor acting skills during her initial days.
All her early movies failed to entertain the audience, but she took her time to come up with one good film. She slowly impressed the audience with her outstanding performance in Raanjhana and Bhaag Milka Bhaag after which the actress has blown with several offers in the B-Town.
Getting Tax Free was beneficial for Neerja Collection, many states including Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Gujarat and Maharashtra helped the movie to mint a good money even during the second week. After the first week, collections have been somehow going towards the negative trends; but after the govt’s declaration of not charging Entertainment tax, earnings has recovered.

The journey was not easy for the movie with many ups and downs. During the second last week, 100 crore club’s race seems to be losing out for Neerja movie but it again joined the league after last Friday.
Many Other movies like Fitoor and Sanam Re featuring lead actors and actresses of Bollywood were far away from these figures. Although Airlift of Akshay Kumar have surpassed Neerja with a huge margin.
