Box Office: Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Collections; PKP2 Doing Good Business Than Others

Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2 Box Office Collections Report: PKP2 is the only which was able to attract the audiences to the cinema halls, but that too eventually. The maximum viewers came in its third week as the word of mouth got stronger and the newer releases didn’t pick up at the right spot. All in all the movies which were released after this one proved to be disasters. (check: Guddu Ki Gun, Titli, Main Aur Charles collection.)

The latest venture of Luv Ranjan collected Rs. 6.50 crore in this last week. Thus, making a total collections of Rs. 60 crore till now. Going by this trend, it has one more week left to boost up its business because the coming Thursday, Salman Khan’s Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (PRDP) will be released which will conquer all the screens. However, PKP 2 is still a super-hit at the box office.

Speaking honestly, then, it surpassed the box office collection of Shaandaar as well as managed to do a huge business than any other recent releases. As of now, it ranks at #12 in the list of highest grosser of 2015. It was made on the lowest budget as compared to all the films which are above it in the same list.

In the meantime, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt starrer Shaandaar fell down steaply and its business reached in lakhs. In the last week-days, it collected only 20 lakhs. On the whole, the second week brought only Rs. 2.5 crore in its bag. However, there are only 2-3 theatres where its screening is still going on in the 3rd week. Collectively, it looks like the business time period is over for Vikas Behl’s directed movie. Its lifetime collections would end up with just Rs. 43 crore mark which is just more than three times of its first Friday collections.

Coming to the newer releases likes of Once Upon A Time In Bihar, Love Exchange, and Prithipal Singh, then, they are suffering from low screen presence even in their first week. It has reflected clearly in their collections of first week which is in lakhs only. The only film performing best in these is Once Upon A Time In Bihar.
