Rajinikanth Injured While Shooting Enthiran / Robot 2.0

Actor Rajinikanth suffered a minor injury while working on the sets of his upcoming movie Enthiran 2.0 in Chennai. The accident took place on Saturday, December 3. The 65-year-old superstar has been working hard to finish the shoot for the film which co-stars Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson.

During the shoot, Rajinikanth tripped while climbing stairs and suffered injuries on his leg. Following it, he was immediately taken to a nearby hospital while doctors declared that he hasn’t got any fracture. However, they advised him to take sufficient rest before going to continue the shoot.

The shooting for the film is going on vigorously to meet the Diwali 2017 deadline. Also, the movie involves huge GFX, so it is going on throughout day and night. The first look of the flick was recently released. Rajinikanth stars as the protagonist while Akshay is playing the negative role.

Already given many hit Tamil and Hindi films like Hindustani, Nayak, etc., director Shankar Shanmugan is directing it too. He had directed the prequel too. Two Oscar-winning musicians AR Rahman and sound desinger Resul Pookutty are involved in it.

The bilingual sci-fi movie Enthiran 2.0 is slated for the release on Diwali 2017. The prequel released in Hindi as Robot. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was in the lead role. But, in the sequel, Amy is the lead heroin. Rajinikanth will reprise his double role of Chitti the Robot and Dr. Vaseegaran. The film also stars Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.

Enthiran 2.0 / Robot 2.0 is considered to be the most expensive film of Asia till date. The estimated budget is around Rs 400 crores. Also, the film will be released in six languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, English, Japanese, and Chinese. The makers have roped in Srinivas Mohan who have already worked in Baahubali and Enthiran.

The fans would get to watch heavy action packed sequences. For it, Hollywood stunt choreographer Kenny Bates have been roped in for the job. Kenny is known for films like Pearl Harbour, Transformers, and Die Hard. The director has plans to recreated Ukraine in Chennai with Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson.
