He has been alleged to be carrying illegal arms during the 1993 Mumbai blasts case and he has been proved convicted recently in 2009 and he has been sentenced 5 years of imprisonment. He spent some pleasant time in jail and he has been released on February 25th even before he completed his term because of his good behavior in jail. Dutt was in Yerawada jail, Pune and he has been cherished with many memories during his jail term. He was the prisoner ‘C-16656’ and he cheered the prisoners during his term and the actor revealed that he had a number of memories during his term. He was engaged in activities like making paper bags, cane items along with working as a radio jockey. He used to interact with his fellow prisoners and he collected the information of many prisoners and their life stories in Yerawada prison.
As per the latest news, Sanjay penned down all his life experiences during his jail life right from the smallest ones which left him excited. As per the latest we hear, Sanjay penned a 500-page book filled with memories and the book has been named as Salakhen.
Dutt revealed that he penned the book along with his inmates Zeishan Qureshi and Sameer Hingle. He even met Manyata in the jail premises and she fell down with fever several times after visiting him. The book was penned in Hindi and it will be translated into English and will be released soon.
Sanjay is currently listening to scripts and he will soon start shooting for the third installment of Munnabhai in the direction of Rajkumar Hirani. Arshad Warsi will play circuit in the third installment of the movie and the duo met recently discussing the script.
