Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Naga Chaitanya played the lead roles in the film and Akhil has been seen in a cameo. Annapurna Studios produced the film which ended as a memorable hit in the career of Nagarjuna and even marked the last movie of the legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao.

Nagarjuna has been shown in a completely new avatar in panache kattu for the film. Kalyan Krishna made his directorial debut with SCN which has been shot exclusively in Mysore and Hyderabad. Ramya Krishna and Lavanya Tripathi played the female leads in the film and Nagarjuna played dual roles as Bangarraju, Ram in the film.
