After a huge gap, she made her re entry back with English Vinglish which ended as a blockbuster. This proved that she had huge charm among the film circles. She has been quite selective with her films and she rejected many offers in the recent times. Many filmmakers have been trying hard to rope in Sridevi in their films but she has been quite choosy about her next.
She has charged a whopping remuneration of Rs 5 crores for her recent outing Puli starring Vijay and Hansika which has been directed by Chimbudevan. The movie bombed at the box-office and Sridevi played a princess in the film.
She has done many films with Kamal Haasan in her career. Most of the films ended as huge blockbusters and they ruled the industry during 90s with their classics like Akali Rajyam, Vasantha Kokila, Erra Gulabilu etc. This pair was a sensation during those days and after 25years, KamalHaasan and Sridevi are getting ready to team up again.
KamalHaasan has increased his speed and is signing back to back films in his career. He managed to release Uttama Villan, Papanasam and Cheekati Rajyam this year and after a small break he will start shooting for his next movie.
Kamal Haasan has been quite excited with the script narrated by National award winning Malayalam director TK Rajeev Kumar and he has immediately given his nod. Rajeev is currently busy wrapping the script work of the movie. As per the latest news, Sridevi has been approached to play the female lead and she has given her nod for the movie.
The regular shoot of the movie will start in January next year in USA. Kamal and Sridevi are teaming up for a movie after a gap of 25 years which is huge. Talented actress Amala and Zaraina Wahab are playing the other important roles in the movie which will release for Dasara next year.
