The day 1 worldwide collections of the film were one of the highest totaling more than 70 crores in a single day. (check: splitsvilla 9 episode 7.)

Many movies had their lifetime collections as 70 crores. Not just being the top film of 2016, Sultan 5 days collection is also one of the highest in industry. Earlier, Salman’s own Bajrangi Bhaijaan had set up new benchmarks in the industry.

Doing promotion in every possible manner. Salman and Anushka’s couple visited many small screen reality, and daily soap shows to woo the audience. It seems that the movie promotion techniques were successful as film minted out more than its total budget in less than 2 days.

The total budget of the movie is 90 crore rupees out of which 70 crores were utilized towards the production and shooting costs. 20 crores advanced towards as cost of advertising and printing. Released with over 4352 exact screen count in India and 1100 screens worldwide. The film observed more than 60% houseful shows in many of the theaters on opening day. Occupancy remains all time high.

The flick was more important because of mind blowing response from the audience. Salman’s fanship was famous for its royalty from a long ago. But totaling more than 170 crores as Sultan collection was a great achievement for the film.

Eid effect has definitely affected the income as the earnings grown multiple times because of the festive season. Film collected 3.04 million $ (20.5 cr) on day one in overseas which is fantastic considering mid-week release in the overseas market. It’s not usual for a film to perform that well, but it was Eid all around the globe.

The movie collected highest ever opening number in Pakistan beating many Pakistan’s home production films (2.2 cr,3.45 cr PKR) and Gulf (1.4 million $). Film took outstanding start yesterday too, and it collected 37.20 cr net as single screens were a lot better than day one.

Movie 4th-day collections have also set a record for the highest fourth day ever in the industry. The previous record was held by Hrithik Roshan’s Krrish 3 for collecting more than 35 crores as fourth-day box office earnings. That has happened because of Diwali falling on Saturday.

The early trends on Sunday were better than anything. Even the morning shows observed more than 40% occupancy which is a great thing. Pakistan also gave a positive feedback for the film collecting more than one crore rupees. The night shows are almost houseful in the main cities and can observe 80-100% occupancy in most of the cases.

The second important thing affecting Sultan collections are ticket pricing; the tickets have been priced more than of any average film. The average price lies between 300-400 rs and goes to 1700 rupees in many cases.

Although all metrics are not positive for Salman’s latest release as it was not able to break ‘Happy New Year’ BO earnings on an opening day. The talkie remains third in the list getting laid behind by 44.97 crore opening record of Happy New Year and 41.75 days 1 record of PRDP (Prem Ratan Dhan Payo).

All we can say that the film is an all time blockbuster movie of the Bollywood bhai. The film is expected to cross 600 crores lifetime earnings in less than 4 weeks.
