The box office earnings of the film have beaten up every single movie of this year very badly. On another hand, the talkie has successfully bypassed the earnings of last year’s film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. However, Bajrangi Bhaijaan record is yet to be a break. Salman Khan has charged 100 crore rupees for his terrible acting in the film.

The second weekend will define the ultimate fate of the movie. The report for Sultan Collection during the 2nd Thursday is as follows. The flick, often recognized as a boxer in the film is going through a difficult phase.

Despite getting record breaking release on over more than 5500 screens throughout the country, the collections are only dropping with each successive day. Earnings have been dropped from 15.54 crores to mere 9.92 crores on Thursday; such a massive decline has shocked the industry analysts. Earlier the expectation was of 700 crore lifetime has remained to 500-600 crores.

Released with over 4352 exact screen count in India and 1100 screens worldwide. The film observed more than 60% houseful shows in many of the theaters on opening day. Occupancy remains all time high. Total screen count of the movie was one of the greatest after Bajirao Mastani.

Despite average drops on weekdays, the decline during the first week is not a thing which was expected. The movie was estimated to remain over and above 12 crore rupees on weekdays. Earnings had varied a lot because of getting income tax formalities near too.

Occupancy in the main theaters were 80-100% during the opening day. The occupancy suffered a lot during the second week and could not cross the mark of 20% during the 2nd week despite all the promotion efforts. Salman has although gave a miss to various reality shows he visited during Bajrangi Bhaijaan promotion.

Although the Sunday’s advertising on Kapil Sharma show was positive which resulted in 15.54 crores on Monday.

Despite getting betrayed by the morning shows, the film sees some sort of hope from the night shows where the occupancy touches marks. In the metropolitan cities, several fans are going for double shows to make sure Salman Khan aka Bhai will never look down. Fans also tried trending #SultanOnceAgain on Twitter to promote the film.

Day 3 was good for Sultan collections in Dubai and Muslim Countries. Since it was Eid observed in many countries during Friday, the collections took new heights minting more than 20 crore rupees in total. Domestic collections were low because of weekday and could not cross the benchmark of 31.67 crore rupees.

There could be fringe variations between the figures because of information arrival and delayed from different cinema halls. The overseas collection is always counted on Gross figures because of limited resources.

Having a very particular and limited audience during the morning and noon shows is the worst challenge for any Bollywood film. People usually seek options during the morning shows, while in the evening Salman’s craze can be seen around the city.

However, the occupancy in evening shows went very well, especially in North India. The single screens were stable while multiplexes contributed more than 40% of the overall estimated income. States like Delhi/ UP and Punjab performed better than others for  Sultan ninth day collection.

The film Collection also observed getting affected a huge because of the price of tickets during the day shows on weekdays. Last week, price didn’t drop below 150 but this week many theaters are running the show for 90 too.

The movie 1st-week collection was also high because of never seen a combination of holidays for first five days in the history of Bollywood.

Eid’s moon is always lucky for Salman from last 2 years. Last year also Eid fell just a day after the initial release of BB, giving an extra day to the movie to perform well on the screens. The film earned over Rs. 300 crores (Gross) Worldwide in its five-day long opening weekend but the flick collection started to fall after Monday.
