Thoonga Vanam Movie Review Rating


Thoonga Vanam Review Rating: Padmasri Kamal Haasan has decided to entertain the audience with back to back films in his career. He already managed to release two films Uttama Villain and Papanasam this year after which he is getting ready with his next movie ThoongaVanam which is said to be a crime thriller. Rajesh M Selva who has been associated with Kamal in his direction department made his directorial debut with this movie. (read: Cheekati Rajyam Review.)

The most surprising thing ever is that the movie has been shot in a single schedule in 45 days and ThoongaVanam has been shot completely during the nights. Trisha, Prakash Raj, Madhu Shalini and Sampath Raj are playing the other prominent roles in the film. Gibraan composed the music for Thoonga Vanam which has been produced by Kamal’s home banner Raajkamal Films International. ThoongaVanam has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil. The Telugu version of the film has been titled as CheekatiRajyam. ThoongaVanam has been slated for release on November 10th during Diwali.

ThoongaVanam is one of the masterpiece by Kamal Haasan. The movie will definitely make a boost in his career with a whole new theme adopted for shooting the movies. ThoongaVanam Pre-Release Buzz

Kamal Haasan who has terrific craze all over has come up with a thriller after many years. The movie has been adapted from a French super hit film Sleepless Night in which Kamal will be seen as a cop and deals with the Narcotics. His character has been taken special care that his body language suits his character. The movie has been maintained in low profile however Thoonga Vanam caught the buzz after the release of the theatrical trailer.


The trailer has been completely impressive with thrilling elements throughout the movie. The movie revolves around the drug mafia and Kamal played CK Diwakar, an Indian Revenue Service officer in Narcotics Control Bureau. The movie has done a terrific pre-release business all over and ThoongaVanam has been sold out for fancy prices in all the territories.The movie has been slated for a huge release in record number of screens during Diwali season and is expected to open to packed houses all across Tamil Nadu.

ThoongaVanam Highlights:

Kamal Haasan who is known for his terrific screen presence is now specialized to make his way through to any assigned character. He has been quite selective with films and he is the main highlight of the film. His performance in the film will take the movie to the next level. Trisha and Prakash Raj played the main supporting roles in ThoongaVanam which elevate the character of Kamal.

Rajesh M Selva is one of Kamal’s best associates and his work will be appreciated after the release of the movie. The stunning script and the racy narration along with the Gibraan’s background score are the other highlights of the film. The production values of the film have been grand enough and the cinematography is an additional asset. Kamal during his recent interaction revealed that the movie will sure impress the audience and is a new genre in Indian cinema.

  2. Guys don’t miss the last song its mind blowing,watch out some theaters are not showing the last song, they are cut it,yesterday it happen for me i was waiting for last song they did not show cast it.

    please help tell the theater guys not to do that.
