Then came PK which is the highest grosser in the history of Indian cinema. Rajkumar Hirani directed all the movies and VVC produced the movies on Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films. The filmmaker takes his own time to come out with passionate movies.

Talented director Bejoy Nambiar made an impressive debut with dark comedy Shaitan and the movie has been widely lauded by critics. Bejoy Nambiar got good recognition as a director but he has taken huge gap to direct his second film David. Vikram, Neil Nithin Mukesh, Vinay Virmani, Tabu, Lara Dutta and Isha Sharwani played the lead roles in the flick which revolved around 3 different stories.

Though the movie received decent applause all over, the talkie is a huge commercial flop in all the released languages. After an enough gap he has been called by Vidhu Vinod Chopra to direct a script. Bejoy has taken his time and came out with the changes and the movie has been titled as Wazir.

Big B Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar played the lead roles in the movie which is said to be a dark thriller. Amitabh played a chessmaster who is restricted to a wheelchair as he loses his legs in an accident.

Farhan Akhtar played a suspended ATS officer in the movie and Aditi Rao Hydari played the female lead in the film. VVC produced the movie on Vidhu Vinod Chopra Films. Neil Nithin Mukesh played the negative lead in the movie and the movie released all over on January 8th.

The film released all over and with no other releases, the movie opened to 70% occupancy after the New Year weekend. The movie released in over 2000 screens across the world and Wazir collected Rs 6 crores on its first day across the world. Amitabh Bachchan’s outstanding performance and Farhan Akhtar’s terrific make over are said to be the major highlights of the movie.

There are lot of flaws in the second half but the performances by the lead actors elevate the film well. With no releases around, the movie is expected to fare well during Saturday and Sunday. Wazir is expected to collect close to Rs 20 crores in its first weekend.
