Welcome Back 1st Week Collection – 6th Day (Wednesday) Box Office Total Report: The sequel of the 2007 release Welcome has got the required start across the nation. The latest film of John Abraham co-starring Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Paresh Rawal has been doing well in its first week so far.
In the first 5 days, the film has collected over Rs. 65 crore at the domestic box office. Being release on more than 3200 screen across India, it started on a very good note, especially getting better responses from the single screens.
It has got popularity in the overseas markets too. Audiences are appreciating the chemistry of John Abraham and Shruti Haasan as the lead pair. They have been paired probably for the first time on on-screen. Like the prequel, Anil Kapoor and Nana Patekar have added their special comic effects in it.
By collecting a good amount of money on its opening day, it became the 3rd highest opener of the year after Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Brothers. The occupancy was around 50-60% on an average in the first weekend. However, it dropped to about 40% on weekdays.
Getting good reviews from the critics as well as the audiences, the film garnered a total of Rs. 90 crore in the first five days of its release. Made on a budget of Rs. 88 crore, the film is faring well in areas of Rajasthan, Bihar, MP, Punjab, UP, and Delhi.
