Pakistan have been extremely good in all the aspects of the game and have won the second test match by 178 runs which is quite huge. Pakistan batted first with Hafeez and Masood opening the innings for Pakistan and made a 50 run partnership before Hafeez getting out on 19, Malik didn’t fire and was out with just 2 runs on the score board. Masood scored his half century and then got out on 54. Younis, Misbah and Shafiq helped the innings to reach 378 as Younis made 56, Misbah made a ton and Shafiq made 83.
England did not bat particularly well as they were dismissed for just 234 with Cook making 65, Root making 88 and Bairstow making 46 to help the team score 234 before getting all out in 75.2 overs. Pakistan bowled very well with Wahab Riaz and Yasir Shah taking 4 wickets each.
Pakistan made 354 in the second innings as Hafieez, Younis, Misbah and Shafiq again fired and helped their team to set a target of 418 for England to chase which would become the highest chase in the test history. Younis Khan scored a ton and Misbah made 87 which helped the cause.
