Tushar Kapoor and Vir Das played the lead roles in the movie which has been directed by Milap Zaveri. The movie too faced huge problems from the members of the censor board. After struggling for six months between the members of the censor board the film has been censored with A certificate.
Sunny has been showcased flaunting bikins in every second scene in the movie. As per the makers the costumes of Sunny Leone costed them Rs 75 lakhs which is huge. She has been shown flaunting her assets in 27 bikins throughout the movie which is quite huge. The movie has been wrapped up in 60 days and the complete film has been shot in Bangkok. Tushar Kapoor and Vir Das have been the centre for entertainment while Sunny Leone was the glamour element.

Mastizaade released in over 1500 screens in competition with R Madhavan’s Saala Khadoos and the movie received bad response from the audience. The movie lacked content and the over dose of Sunny Leone’s skin show irritated the audience. After minting Rs 12.5 crores in its first weekend, the movie dropped badly during the weekdays and the film collected Rs 15.2 crores in its first week.
With many releases ahead the movie reaching safe zone is highly impossible. Pritish Nandy and Rangitha Pritish Nandy produced the movie on PNC Productions banner. Mastizaade has been declared as a debacle among the international circles.
