Lithuania finished fourth in the group and was not able to qualify for the finals in France whereas Romania played in the Group F and finished second in the group and was able to be eligible for the Euro 2016 finals. Romania played in Group F of the Euro 2-16 qualifying and finished second on the table with 20 points in 10 games played as they won five and drew five.

They won against Greece away by 0-1, by 0-2 against Finland away, against Northern Ireland at home, against the Faroe Islands by 1-0 at the country and again against Faroe Islands but this time away, they drew five against Hungary at home, against Northern Ireland away, against Hungary away, against Greece at home and Finland by 1-1 at home.

They played against Italy at the Renato Dail’Ara and was able to draw 2-2, Bogdan Stancu scored the opening goal in the 8^th minute, then Claudio Marchisio equalized through a penalty in the 55^th minute and Manolo Gabbiadni scored in the 66^th minute to take the lead for Italy but then Florin Andone equalized in the 88^th minute and the game ended at 2-2.

Lithuania was not able to qualify for the Euro 2016 finals as they finished fifth in the group with 10 points in the 10 games as they won three, drew one and lost six, below on goal difference from Estonia and above nine points from San Marino. They won against San Marino by 0-2 away and at home by 2-1 and against Estonia by 1-0 at home.
