The movie is based on a real life story of Indian professor Dr Srinivas Ramchandra Siras who was a gay. The movie has been banned by the censor board members and after an enough struggle the movie got cleared with the censor board.

Busan International Film Festival which received standing ovation. The flick has been shot in Aligarh, Gorakhpur, Agra, Noida and Barelly. The movie has been screened in many International film festivals which received wide response along with critical reception from the viewers.

The movie completed all the censor formalities and it has been given U/A certificate with minor cuts which did not spoil the film’s flow. Sunil Lulla and Shailesh R Singh produced the film on Eros International and Karma Productions banner. Karan Kulkarni composed the music and Satya Rai Nagpaul was the cinematographer.

The movie released all over on February 26^th and the movie received wide response from the audience. The film has been widely praised by the critics and the movie collected Rs 2.56 crores on its first day in the limited release.

With huge positive word of mouth the talkie gained strength and it collected Rs 3.34 crores on its second day. Aligarh collected Rs 5.90 crores in two days which has been huge. The movie is expected to take a huge growth on Sunday and will collect decent figures in its first week.
