Gauri Shinde is outstanding in her work. She had concentrated about even the minor details to make it happening. Being a director she has a big burden on her shoulders to make every moment lavish. The plot of the film is absorbing, you will puzzle up with a lot of unanswered questions with the end of 1st half. The starting phase is a bit slow for movie lovers.
Dear Zindagi Review – The Good
The first half of Dear Zindagi focusses on Kaira aka Alia Bhatt’s character in the film. It will be fun to know her. She is energetic but very insecure. She is completely unplanned in her life letting it go wherever it takes her. Being very much impulsive about the things she faces in everyday life, she is quite coward to face reality.Dear Zindagi Movie Review and Rating
Dear Zindagi storyline implies on two words ‘Love Yourself’. There could be no better option than Alia Bhatt for this role. She is quite young as compared to other actresses in Bollywood. The audience could get a clear connection with the superstars of the film which is a great thing.
Shahrukh Khan’s role in Dear Zindagi is more like an extended cameo and a narrator. He had conveyed a lot of words of wisdom during the time play. In his role, SRK is quite careful with his life and knows to handle the most stressful situations. Is he a preacher or teacher? That you will need to decide after watching Dear Zindagi.
Dear Zindagi is more about Alia Bhatt then Shahrukh Khan. She has the leading role and all other are like cameo appearances in her life. Ali Zafar is playing the role of a good-looking, charming musician-singer who she happens to meet one little night and they got quite cozy with each other.
Kunal Kapoor character could be guessed to be a villain of the film, but that is not reality. He goes quite comfortable with Alia and the warmness between the duo could be easily observed. Young and energetic Kunal is not popular in Bollywood, but his role will make you appreciate the efforts he invoked in the film.
It will be decent if you watch the film keeping the regional and personal sentiments behind. One can’t simply resist himself from getting in love with the different scenes where the stars got amazing chemistry while working together.
Dear Zindagi Review – The Bad
Dear Zindagi story is not much interesting and easily take from what could happen in an upper-middle-class teenage girl’s life. It’s all about enjoying the every moment in your life.
Some scenes in the film have been for no good reason. Gauri should concede that the audience she is targeting with the movie already perceives what is happening around here.
Dear Zindagi is not a film for every type of audience. The young and the energetic could get easily connected with the movie, but it could be proved disaster for middle age people. There is no fiction and action in the film which could be another drawback considering the target audience.
Dear Zindagi Review – Summary
It’s one of the best movies by Alia Bhatt yet. Her role in the film is quick love. Dear Zindagi will take you through the simple moments of life, the life that most of us miss out due to their busy schedule and commitments. The movie is a joyride with subtle comedy. Quick punches throughout the runtime will keep you entertained.
Dear Zindagi Review – Cinematography and Songs
The whole movie is pivoted on the use of short range focus, which was pure genius. Some scenes of resembling the closeness of characters are well captured. The background score is exquisite, but there was more scope of work in the songs. Only one song from the film ‘Tu Hi Hai’ can be classified as a masterpiece.
