He also has been referred as one man industry of Indian cinema and he won three National awards in his career as Best actor along with a number of other awards at many International film festivals and other award ceremonies.
Amitabh won fifteen Filmfare awards which are not easy for any other actor to achieve. He even worked as a writer, singer, director and he even produced a number of movies on Amitabh Bachchan Corporation banner. The government of India honored him with the Padma Shri in 1984, the Padma Bhushan in 2001 and the Padma Vibhushan in 2015 for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Amitabh Bachchan recently wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming movie Te3N in Kolkata which is said to be a thriller. Vidya Balan played a cop in the film and Nawazzuddin Siddiqui played the other prominent roles in the film which is being directed by Ribhu Dasgupta and Sujoy Ghosh is the producer of the film which will hit the screens all over on May 20th.

Shoojit Sircar who directed Piku will produce the movie and talented Bengali director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary will direct the movie. Aniruddha Roy Chowdhary won National award for her directorial skills and is making her directorial debut in Bollywood with Eve.
Shoojit SircarThe regular shoot of the movie started today in New Delhi and Amitabh Bachchan will play the lead role. He revealed the news through his official social networking page saying “So Shoojit produced film starts…in Delhi…by tomorrow…and as is won’t the anxiety has begun… always without fail, it arrives in throngs of apprehension”.
