Kaptaan movie of Gippy Grewal is doing an average performance at the Indian Box Office. Being released primarily in Haryana, Punjab, and Delhi, the film faced fierce competition from the Sarbjit and X-Men. Although the increasing temperature is also a reason resisting people to go out for a movie.
Directed by Mandeep Kumar, a film released on 20 May 2016 along with two other films. Kaptaan leads in the areas with a good ratio of Punjabi spoken population along with the other competitors. It features Gippy Grewal as Advocate Kaptaan Singh who has some extraordinary cases to dealt with in an amazingly funny way.

Kaptaan CollectionsOn Monday, the movie did an average business of 29 Lakh rupees with around 10% occupancy in Delhi and 25% occupancy in the theaters in Punjab. On Tuesday, the similar trend was observed with only 27 Lakh rupees earned.
Overall the movie was a great short entertainer for the audience, but nothing can be seen to be hyped off. Released in hot days of Summer, Kaptaan collections were expected to suffer from the very first day.
The main reason of low on box office was not piracy this time. Rather the ticket’s cost was kept low being a TIPS movie.
