Nagarjuna’s Oopiri Pre Release Business Updates

Jr. NTR to Promote Nannaku Prematho on Nagarjuna’s Show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu

Akkineni Nagarjuna is one of the finest actors of Telugu cinema. He has been dominating Tollywood even after crossing his 50s and his sons Naga Chaitanya, Akhil are currently doing films in the lead roles. Along with films, Nag has been endorsing various brands as the brand ambassador and he has been busy with his tv show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu.

With no release in 2015, he came up with Soggade Chinni Nayana early this year during Sankranthi and the movie surprised everyone as it ended as the biggest hit among the Sankranthi released films this year.

Kalyan Krishna Kurasala directed this film which marks his directorial debut and Ramya Krishna, Lavanya Tripathi played the female leads. Anup Rubens composed the music and Nagarjuna produced the film on Annapurna Studios banner.

Soggade Chinni Nayana is the biggest hit in the career of Nagarjuna and the film crossed Rs 50 crore mark in its final run. Nagarjuna has been seen in dual roles as Bangarraju and Ram in the movie. Nag has done a complete makeover with his characters and Soggade Chinni Nayana gave up a huge boost up to Nag.

He recently wrapped up the shoot of his upcoming movie Oopiri in the direction of Vamsi Paidipally. The movie is a remake of Hollywood film The Intouchables and Tamil actor Karthi played the other lead role in the film. Oopiri has been shot simultaneously in Telugu and Tamil languages.

Tamannah played the female lead in the movie and the movie has been shot in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Paris. Top producer Prasad V Potluri is producing Oopiri on PVP Cinema banner. The movie has been slated for release on March 25th during summer.

After a super success like Soggade Chinni Nayana, Oopiri will be the next release of Nagarjuna and the movie has done a terrific pre-release business all over. It is quite surprising but it’s true that the pre-release business of the movie has been wrapped up all over.

The telugu version of the movie has done a terrific pre-release business of Rs 40 crores. The tamil version of the film has been sold for Rs 20 crores. Oopiri has been made on a budget of Rs 30 crores and the movie has been sold out for Rs 60 crores. The satellite rights of the movie are yet to be sold and the makers are quite happy with the business Oopiri has done
