Phantom 3rd Day (Sunday) Collection – 1st Weekend Box Office Business: The latest release of the Bajrangi Bhaijaan director, Phantom released on the last Friday starring Katrina Kaif and Saif Ali Khan.

The latest movie directed by Kabir Khan has fared well through its first-weekend journey with a decent business at the box office. Released on 2600 screens across India, Phantom garnered good reviews by both the audiences and the critics.

As usual, on the first day, the opening was average but it experienced increment in terms of occupancy and revenue by the end of the day. Further, its 1st-weekend box office collection at a good note.

Katrina Kaif and Kabir Khan have been paired up for the 2nd time after their blockbuster hit movie, Ek Tha Tiger, released in 2012.

Though Phantom can’t compete with Ek Tha Tiger, but still managed itself to fare well like other previously released thrillers. Katrina is seen on the big screen after a long time. Maybe this is the reason for getting high income and excitement of the fans. She is essaying the role of a secret agent opposite to Saif Ali Khan. Audiences are loving their on-screen chemistry.

Phantom started with an average occupancy of around 50% and collected about Rs. 8.46 crore on the very first day (Friday). With the course of the time, the occupancy increased as well the revenue.

Similarly, on the 2nd day (Saturday), the two reasons increased its income. Firstly, being the weekend and secondly, the festival (Raksha Bandhan). These two factors led its collections to rise exponentially. Phantom collected Rs. 12.78 crore on the second day of its release. While in overseas, it minted around Rs. 6.62 crores as the 2 days total collection.

On Sunday (3rd day), Phantom movie experienced less occupancy than the previous day. However, it raked in about Rs. 10 crores [early estimates].

The film fared well in the daytime, but witnessed a little drop in the late night shows as tomorrow is a working day for all.

The Norther part of India is giving good collections to the film as it is faring very well in the multiplexes while the single screens witnessed an average occupancy.

Phantom 3 days total box office collection is getting to be about Rs. 35 crores. It has set the record as the 8th highest opening weekend collection surpassing the collections of Drishyam, Roy, and Piku. It has become the 2nd highest opening weekend for Saif Ali Khan.
