Tamasha 7 Days First Week Box Office Collection: Crossed 70 crores in 7 days

Tamasha Box Office Collection: Talented director Imtiaz Ali has been scoring back to back hits in his career. All his movies ended as huge hits at the box-office roaring loudly and they even won critical acclaim impressing the critics and grabbing the awards. After back to back hits like Rockstar and Highway, he is back with his latest movie Tamasha which is said to be a romantic entertainer. Talented actors Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone played the lead roles in the movie. Ranbir and Imtiaz Ali’s last outing Rockstar was a smashing hit all over.



Tamasha released in nearly 3000 screens across the world and the movie received critical acclaim all over. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s electrifying performance have been well accepted and praised by the audience all over. The movie has been well received in the multiplexes than in single screens because of the slow and dragged second half. The movie received mixed response from the audience on day one and it collected Rs 10 crores on its opening day. The collections picked up quite well over the weekends and the movie minted Rs 38.23 crores in its first weekend.

But the things changed over the weekdays as the movie witnessed huge downfall day by day. On the crucial Monday Tamasha managed to collect Rs 5.07 crores. Tuesday collections have been down and the movie collected Rs 4.07 crores and yesterday the figures have been even less. Tamasha collected Rs 3.32 crores making the total Rs 50.69 crores. The movie slided down badly on the weekdays but Tamasha is sure a relief for Ranbir Kapoor after debacles like Roy and Bombay Velvet.

Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone’s electrifying performances along with the music and the cinematography are said to be the major highlights of the film. Tamasha has been made on a budget of Rs 70 crores and AR Rahman composed the music. The movie has been shot exclusively in Corsica, France which is said to be the major highlight of the movie. Sajid Nadiadwala produced the movie on Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainments banner.
