‘The Flash’ Season 2 Episode 13 Trailer (s2e13): This week’s episode of The Flash was the third filler episode of this season and was created just to set up the pace for upcoming episode. Next episode of The Flash would be titled “Welcome to Earth-2” and is directed by Millicent Shelton. (see: The Flash s2e12 review.)
We saw at the end of episode 12 that Team Flash decided to travel to Earth-2 to rescue Wells’s daughter from Zoom. Keeping in mind the story of this episode, the title is completely apt. The promo we saw was a real short one but had enough cliffhangers to make us want to watch it as soon as possible.
‘The Flash’ Season 2 Episode 13 Trailer
Barry, Cisco, and Dr. Wells travel to Earth-2 through one of the remaining 51 inter-dimensional breaches (Barry and Wells shut one down in the latest episode). The Central City of Earth-2 is quite different than the Central City of Earth-1. The humans of Earth-2 are more advanced than Earth-1 in terms of both technology and scientific knowledge (also mentioned in episode 12). Barry and Cisco are busy taking selfies. We would also see Barry Allen and Caitlin of Earth-2. Even Robbie Amell would make a comeback as Ronnie of Earth-2. And guess what? Caitlin of Earth-2 is Killer Frost and Ronnie is Deathstorm!
The storyline of this episode could unfold many possibilities for moving the story further. We could get to see Barry from Earth-1 meet Barry from Earth-2. That would be fun. Also, we would get to see Killer Frost and Deathstorm in action against our travelers from Earth-1.
We expect to see some pumped-up fight scenes between Team Flash and Caitlin-Ronnie pair. Caitlin is sure to catch attention in her “good girl gone bad” avatar. But her being Killer Frost was no surprise as we watched her as Killer Frost in the season finale of the first season (when Barry saw all the events while running inside the particle accelerator).
We would get to see what Barry Allen of Earth-2 is like and what he is up to. We might also have a look at the Earth-2 avatars of other characters. But, there is a big catch in all this. Barry, Cisco and Wells must get back to Earth-1 within 48 hours of their arrival at Earth-2. If they don’t, they’ll be trapped forever on Earth-2; and this looks difficult due to Killer Frost and Deathstorm’s intervention.
Meanwhile, Jay Garrick has the whole S.T.A.R. labs to himself and Caitlin on Earth-1. He is filling up for Flash in his absence from Central City. I am not sure if this is a good thing or a bad one since I suspect him of being Zoom. His Earth-1 doppelganger is named Hunter Zolomon, who was Zoom in the comics. So, things are going to get really interesting next week. Watch out for the scarlet speedster.
