2016 Updates: A few months ago, YJ creator Greg Weisman asked the fans to keep watching to show if they wanted to enjoy new seasons. He called up them for the purpose as it will make clear that enough people are looking forward to it.
On the other hand, a Redditor stated that he contacted David at TerrificCon in Connecticut regarding the same. Then, David again affirmed the possibility and told the fan that the series was discontinued due to its large female demographic translating to poor toy sales and not because of viewing figures or quality.
So, don’t get too much excited about it as Netflix hasn’t officially made an announcement about the next season yet. Below is what David tweeted.
Going by the trend, we can expect the third season sooner or later. If it is so, then we should look back where the show left. It was a cliffhanger. Darkseid was in league with The Light. Wally West sacrificed himself and went into the speed force.

So, with the end of the season 2, we can expect what to happen next. It will continue with the lives of Nightwing, Robin, Aqualad, Kid Flash, Superboy, Miss Martian. There may be new characters in the new installment.
1. Red Hood: A Replacement For Arsenal
I guess everyone expected it to happen. The season 2 ended at such a stage which pointed towards Jason Todd aka the second Robin aka Red Hood. Todd’s memorial appeared for the second time. We can guess that he was killed during the 5-year time jump between the season 1 and 2. It would result in the inclusion of Tim Drake as Robin.
2. Black Flash: Coming Out Of The Speed Force
In the season 2 finale, Wally vanished to the Speed Force. So, he returns at some point in time; Black Flash will chase him to bring back.
When the Black Flash chased him to take back, Wally raced him to the end of the time. It results in the dissipation of Black Flash. When Wally returns to the Earth, he would have got the character’s power. He would be ready to take on season 3 villains.
3. Darkseid: The Main Baddie Of Season 3
Darkseid will be the main antagonist and the ringleader of The Light. He planned and set up six of the League’s big hitters without coming into the light. He remained in the shadows all the time. He almost broke the League nearly twice without coming in front of them. Thus, it makes us wonder what can he do when he arrives at Earth.
4. Supergirl: Experience Battling Darkseid
There is Superboy to fight Darkseid, but they need someone more experienced. There is Wonder Girl, but she doesn’t have the real power of Supergirl. She has fought him many times through many years. Superman doesn’t have any history of his protege. So, it makes way for Supergirl to get involved in the feud.
Of course, there will be more and many characters. But, we have listed the main characters which would be there in the Young Justice season3 for sure without any doubt.

The show is announced, but with an unannounced release date. But, it is expected that it will be released sometime in 2018.
