Houston, Reporter-Times

An accused person was held by police for reportedly killing Houston-area sheriff’s deputy. The person is now held in custody with the police for attacking the officer. The incident happened during Saturday Morning time lapse. The man is identified as gunman according to several reports.

Sgt. William Kennard of the Texas Department of Public Safety told reporters that police department is investigating the case. The man’s mother called the Harris County Sheriff’s Department about her son, William Kennard said

A red pickup truck was seen parked at the spot where deputies took the person in custody for attacking. The suspect in this killing drove away his red Ford Ranger in the meantime. Deputies are now trying to arrange the CCTV footages of the killing.

The suspect shot Deputy Darren H. Goforth, 47 while the sheriff’s deputy was fueling his patrol car. The reason for this shootout is still untraceable and police are trying to investigate this case further.

“He was literally gunned down in what appears to be an unprovoked, execution-style killing, I have been in law enforcement for 45 years, I have never seen anything this cold-blooded,” Hickman said.
