Sidhu Moose Wala, one of India’s famous Punjabi singer and rapper was shot dead in Mansa district on Sunday, May 29, 2022. He had joined the Congress party before the Punjab elections that were held in 2022. Sources said that two more people were injured in the incident.
The hospital’s civil surgeon, Dr Ranjeet Rai told The Reporter Times that Sidhu MosseWala was brought dead. The other two injured people have been referred to another hospital for better treatment. One has lost his eyesight. On May 28, the security of 424 people including Sidhu MooseWala was withdrawn by the state’s government.
Moosewala had fought Assembly elections on a Congress ticket from Masa district of Punjab. Aam Aadmi Party’s Dr Vijay Singla had defeated him with 63,323 votes in total. The congress party made the following statement via a tweet:
“The murder of Sidhu Moose Wala, Congress candidate from Punjab & a talented musician, has come as a terrible shock to Congress party & the entire nation. Our deepest condolences to his family, fans & friends.”

Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead by unidentified shooters in Jawaharke village of Mansa district in Punjab. Dr Ranjeet Rai confirmed his death’s news.
Recently, Sidhu MooseWala released a song titled Scapegoat and had referred to Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its supporters as gaddar. The same had triggered a row after the song was released.

The police department has lodged a homicide case and initiated the investigation to chase down the shooters. Reportedly, Sidhu was in his jeep when assassins surrounded him and began firing recklessly. Approximately, 20 rounds were fired. He was taken to a hospital, but couldn’t survive as he succumbed to injury wounds.
