URI Avenged as Indian Army crossed Line of Control (LoC) in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) and carried out ‘surgical strikes.’ The Army said that they killed terrorists who were preparing themselves to infiltrate and attack the Kashmir region and metros.
The operation took place last night. The sources have revealed that army destroyed seven launch pads and it was filmed. The strikes were carried out up to 2 kilometers of LoC, and an estimated of 40 terrorists were killed.

The Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) Lt General Ranbir Singh said that the strikes caused significant casualties on the terrorists and their supporters. He also told that he informed Pakistan about the same.
On the other hand, Pak has neglected ‘surgical strikes’ and said that it’s all ‘a lie.’ Further, Pak stated that it lost its two soldiers in an unprovoked cross-border firing initiated by India.
Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned this act of Indian Army. He referred India’s surgical strikes as the unprovoked and naked aggression of Indian forces. Further, he said that Pakistani army had already warned Indian troops that it would strike back.
Later on, Pak summoned Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale. Also, Sharif will address a joint session of the Parliament on October 5.
It has been the first major military action by India after terrorists attacked an army camp in Uri in Kashmir earlier this month. They crossed LoC from the Pakistan side. 18 soldiers lost their lives in the attack. After that, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that the culprits would be punished.
However, this is not the first time when surgical strikes have been launched. They were done two times during the period former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh.
The details of the strike were revealed during an urgent meeting of the cabinet committee on security headed by PM Modi.
In the recent weeks, the Indian government has repeatedly indicated that its primary agenda is to isolate Pakistan diplomatically. Recently, India has said that it will not participate in the SAARC summit scheduled to take place in Pakistan in November. Several neighbor countries have stated that they are with India. All of them have decided to boycott SAARC meeting this time. Moreover, India’s foreign minister Sushma Swaraj urged the United Nations General Assembly to declare Pakistan a terror state and accountable for attacks in other nations. Also, she said that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India.
The tension between India and Pakistan increased significantly when a 22-year-old terrorist Burhan Wani was killed in July. He had gained a large following among young men in the Kashmir valley. India has accused Pakistan of encouraging and funding the riots followed after the incident. It killed more than 90 while injured more than 10,000 in violence which stretched over a month.
Pakistan praised Wani and declared him as a martyr and said that he supported what is described as ‘a new freedom movement’ in Kashmir. Moreover, Pakistan PM Nawaz said at UNGA that India is responsible for human rights atrocities in suppressing the differences.
