Xavi Hernandez has commented on the injury update of Ronald Araujo, who was rushed to hospital after a head-on collision with Gavi. The incident took place during Barcelona vs Celta Vigo match. Barca turned victorious with 3-1.
In the incident, 23-year-old Ronald collided with teammate Gavi. In the 62nd minute, when these two players were challenging the ball, they happened to hit with each other. Gavi escaped the accident without any significant treatment. At the moment, it seemed that nothing had happened to Ronald Araujo as he remained on his feet. But, when he started running towards his own goal, he fell.
The player was then taken to the hospital via an ambulance. After a while, Xavi and the team received the news that doctors had taken care of their teammate, and he was conscious and out of danger, and there was no need to worry about him.
Fans chanted U-RU-GUAYO following his substitution. Gavi completed 90 minutes on the ground, and Barcelona won the match. A strike by Memphis Depay in the 30th minute and two goals from Pierre Emerick Aubameyang helped the team defeat Celta Vigo.
Iago Aspas pulled one goal on behalf of Celta in the second half of the game. But their hopes to rescue from an impending defeat at the Camp Nou were reduced when defender Jeison Murillo was sent off.
Araujo said that renewal brings him happiness. He considers being in the best club in the world and being in Barcelona as a reward for doing his job well. The team’s confidence in a player shows that he is doing right.
According to Ronald Araujo, his parents sacrificed a lot and helped him achieve his dream of playing soccer/football. It was his first wish come true when he landed in Barcelona. He has 10 to 15 years left of his career for now.
Araujo graduated from the La Masia academy. During his presentation at Camp Nou, he said that he always likes to work hard, watch videos, and talk a lot with Xavi regarding the work.
