After scoring back to back hits, Akshay is one of the highest paid actors in Bollywood after Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan. During a recent interaction, Salman Khan even revealed that he has been surprised many times how Akshay wraps up films in quick succession. He also said for every now and then his films hit the screens.

Akshay loved the script completely and he was quite excited while shooting for the movie. The film is directed by Raja Krishna Menon who impressed the actor with a knocking script. The movie is about a real incident that happened in Kuwait but it has never been discussed in history.

They even stepped further and killed the ones who supported Kuwait and its government. A man named Ranjit Katyal takes the responsibility to evacuate 1.70 lakh Indians and the movie is about it. The movie has been placed in The Guinness Book of World Records for the biggest human evacuation.

The flick released all over on January 22nd and the movie opened with stupendous mouth talk all over. The movie has been quite strong over the first week and the film dominated other films completely. The talkie collected Rs 83.2 crores in its first week and emerged as the highest first week grosser among Akshay Kumar’s films.
The movie collected Rs 112.55 crores in its two the weeks of domestic run. The collections have been enough strong across the International circles too as the film made up Rs 50 crores in two weeks which is huge. Airlift can be called as the biggest hit in the career of Akshay Kumar and the movie is expected to make huge figures in its final run.
