BB has already got a buzz and speculations around it. Former CBFC cheif Pahlaj Nihalani had ordered to ban the film. Despite controversies, it has hit the big screen and has got only a limited release. However, it is expected to get a good start. Minting around Rs 2 crore will be good and it will mean that fans and movie go-ers are appreciating it.
Based in the remote areas of Uttar Pradesh, Babumoshaai Bandokbaaz stars Nawazuddin, Bidita Bag, and Jatin Goswami in lead roles. Its plot revolves around love and lust. It is Nawaz’s 5th film of the year (2017). He was earlier seen in Haramkhor, Raees, MOM, and Munna Michael.
The fan base of Nawazuddin has grown to new height in a short span of time. It could be a reason for it to fly in theatres. It is faring better than musical drama Qaidi Band produced by Aditya Chopra. As per the early trends, it should mint around Rs 8 to 10 crore by the first weekend.
Related: A Gentleman Collection.
It will still have competition from old releases like Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, Annabelle: Creations, and Bareilly Ki Barfi. It’s made on a budget of Rs 14 crores including its production and prints cost.
