KGF has collected this much amount on its 7th day. Let’s check the 7 days (1st week) collection of Yash starrer Kannada film at the box office. Although it’s Hindi version started on a low note, but it has shown a very good growth since the release on the past Friday. It has been having a stronghold over the first week days. After the Telugu and Tamil film industry showed their splendid growth with films like Baahubali and 2.0, it was now the time for the Kannada movie industry. Kannada’s magnum opus KGF: Chapter 1 released last Friday. Starting with the trailers, the film was well received by the audiences across India.
The movie had to face a tough competition (talking about Hindi version here) as it had to compete with Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan’s latest film Zero. KGF struggled on its day and was able to collect only Rs 2.10 crore. However, after that it received the positive word of mouth and then, it never looked back.

The word of mouth helped the film’s business to grow manifold. KGF collection on its first weekend turned out to be very good. But, the stronghold on the weekdays hinted that the film has been well received by the audience. On 6th day, KGF minted Rs 2.90 crore (an amount bigger than its opening).
According to Taran Adarsh, KGF box office collection is the result of positive word of mouth. In the first six days, it has already collected Rs. 19.05 crores (Hindi). So, it clear that Kolar Gold Fields has been able to sustain on a good note through its opening week. Therefore, it’s clear that it will still do good business even after the release of Ranveer Singh’s Simmba.
It is a multilingual film released in Indian languages like Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. So far, it has earned more than Rs 85 crores from the Indian box office and stands over Rs 100 crores if worldwide collection is counted. It will become the first Kannada film to enter the 100 cr club.
KGF 7th day collection – Rs 15 cr (early estimates) gross
It is almost certain that its lifetime collection will go beyond 150 crores.
