October 2nd Day Collection 2 Days October 1st Saturday Box Office Business & Occupancy Report: The latest Bollywood movie of Varun Dhawan got a slow start despite being an anticipated film of the year. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, it earned just Rs. 4.5 cr on its first Friday, for being a niche film. It’s very less as compared to Varun’s cmmercial films.
It is being fared better in metros as compared to masses. The film garnered positive reviews from both the audiences and the critics. It looks like everyone is praising the story. Debuntante Banita Sandhu has performed very well in her first Bollywood flick. Audience seems to be slowly warming up the movie in the cinema halls.

October witnessed a very slow start in the morning, yesterday. Then, it got a decent jump in the latter half of the day – evening shows. Being non-a-masala movie, it got an average opening. Badlapur witnessed a similar fate on its opening day, but it got lifted ue to some of its awesome songs. On the whole, it got successful in entertaining the people.
However, October doesn’t seem any such factor. Still, it became the fifth best opener of the year and 9th best of Varun’s career. The occupancy on its second day was a little better. So, we can expect that it will earn more as compared to yesterday. The film face competition from the previously released Hindi movies. It’s an unconventional love story.
Varun’s film clashed with Prabhudeva’s silent film Mercury and Hollywood film Rampage at the theatres. Varun was last seen in Judwaa 2 which released in 2017.

October has to do something extraordinary in the first weekend to earn the badge of being ‘Hit.’ It seems that it will have to earn well in the first weekdays too to earn the hit status. As per the early estimates, it will experience a growth by 25% on Saturday. So, it will end up earning somewhere around 6.5 cr. It’s the first collaboration of Varun with Shoojit.
