Shenmue 3 is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Neilo and Ys Net. The long-awaited game from director Yu Suzuki is going to release soon. Shenmue 3 Release Date: When Will It Be Launched?
Years of speculations were put on rest when Suzuki announced at E3 2015 that they are working on a new game. But, he didn’t reveal or even guessed the release date. Even after several years of making the announcement, the developer kept on saying that it is being worked upon but never mentioned when the game was releasing.
Earlier, it was scheduled to release in December 2017, but it didn’t happen and kept on being delayed. But, now it has a release date. It will now release on August 27, 2019. Speaking of the postponed launch date, Deep Silver and Ys Net said that they will take the extra time to polish the quality of the game even further to its deserving standards and release the best product possible.

The news regarding Shenmue 3 has been coming out recently. One of them was the release of the first two games on modern systems that brought the series into the spotlight. Some of the elements have been improved and fans are loving it. It has been almost two decades when the last version released.
It will be one of the biggest games ever, at least in terms of file size. It’s going to be larger than The Witcher 3, Fallout 4, and The Elder Scrolls Online. Shenmue 3 could increase over 100GB of storage on its release. It has already hit its $7 million goal back in July. The money came in from the Slacker Backer campaign. It allowed people to donate to the game’s development.
The developer and director haven’t unveiled much about the features. The rumors suggest that it may come to the Nintendo Switch as Unreal Engine had substantial success on the console with Fortnite: Battle Royale.

Besides PS4, the game has been announced for Windows too. And it also doesn’t mean that it has no future on other platforms. Shenmue 3 hasn’t been announced as a Sony published game, so it will have more chances to jump to other platforms too. With bringing the first two games on Xbox One, Deep Silver may be looking to bring Shenmue 3 to the Microsoft Console.
The second one in the series was released on the original Xbox in 2002 just one year after the Dreamcast version. As of now, we don’t know for sure if Shenmue 3 Switch Edition will make it to the real world. Even if there are plans, they will take place after the game makes the initial launch.

The latest trailer was released during Gamescom 2018. It talks about Ryo’s destiny and it announced the release date of the game.
The 1st Teaser faced backlash as it didn’t have facial animations for characters. Suzuki said that it is in the early development phase and the team is working on it. It featured many characters and environment shots along with vivid presentation which was on full display.
Will Shenmue 3 Have Multiplayer?
It is highly unlikely that the game will have a multiplayer mode or even a battle royale mode.
