Welcome Back 1st weekend collection – 3rd day Sunday Box Office: John Abraham and Shruti Hassan starrer Welcome Back has done exceptionally well at the box office in the first weekend. There was a buzz in the town that the movie will not do well as there was no Akshay Kumar in it like its prequel but the trio of John Abraham, Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor has proved all those predictions wrong.
The movie has managed to earn a handy amount of ₹49 crores in its first weekend. The movie displayed a decent growth at the box office as it touched a box office collection of ₹650 million globally.
A big credit of this movie’s success goes to its prequel, ‘Welcome’ released back in 2007. It was a big hit and success of that movie helped in creating the hype about its sequel.
The film Welcome Back got released on 4000 screens globally, out of which 3500 were in India and rest were overseas.

The movie had a nice amount of bookings for its first weekend too. Released with a budget of ₹88 crores, the movie managed to collect ₹14.35 crores on its day of release and ₹17.35 crores on day 2. Welcome Back collected ₹17.8 crores on day 3rd of post its release.
By Saturday, Welcome Back has earned a total of ₹44.4 crores through box office collections globally. The film’s overseas collection reports are yet to come for Sunday’s business.
As far as the movie review is concerned, the movie has got mixed reviews from both the critics as well as the audiences. On being asked about which part was better, the choice was obviously Welcome (2007).
