Digvijaya Singh-Amrita Rai marriage: The congress leader, Digvijaya Singh has married to Amrita Singh, a TV anchor and journalist. The bride herself has confirmed these reports and stated that their wedding took place as per the Hindu customs and rituals.
In an official facebook post, Rai wrote, “I would like to share a good news with my friends and loved ones. I and Digvijaya Singh have married in the formal and dignified ceremony which took place as per the Hindu rites. Later on, the marriage was also registered.”

She further stated that she knew that question regarding this decision of her would be raised, especially about the age differences.
“Well, I know what I am doing with my life. I take decisions carefully and most importantly, I am happy with it. Meanwhile, I would like to say that I have taken this decision of marrying a 68-year-old person with my wisdom. The constitutional and legal framework of India give me power to take decisions which affect my life,” Rai added.
