Xiaomi seems ready with its upcoming Black Shark 2, the next iteration of the original Black Shark gaming smartphone. It is expected to be launched in China today dubbed as Black Shark Helo. An event has already been scheduled for October 23, 2018, at 6 pm local time (3:30 pm IST).
The confirmed and official details of the gaming mobile phone will be out in a matter of a few hours. It is going to be the successor to the Black Shark (first impression) smartphone which was launched by Xiaomi early in 2018. But, it didn’t launch outside of China. However, we expect that the Black Shark 2 would be released globally, including India.

The leaks about the same started a couple a weeks earlier. As per the reports, it will have a similar design language as of its predecessor with some minor changes. BS2 is expected to sport a metal unibody design with an angular X-shaped rear panel, rounded corner, and an 18:9 aspect ratio display on the front.
The notable visual difference seems to be horizontally-placed dual rear cameras which were horizontal in the original phone. Besides cameras, the fingerprint scanner has been moved to the back from the front side, leaving the front bezels clean and short.
Speaking of the Black Shark 2 specifications, the smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC as it was in the original Black Shark. The chipset will be mated to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. It is being said that the phone will come with a liquid cooling feature to keep the device cool which playing games.
As for the display, the device will sport a 6-inch touchscreen display with 2160×1080 pixels resolution. It will house a 4,000 mAh battery and run on Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.
