13 Reasons Why Season 2 Release Date: When Will It Air On Netflix?
We heard an announcement for the release of Season 2 in 2018. Netflix would be coming up soon with more updates regarding the show. The renewal was not such an amazing to the audience as it was already covered beforehand by the authors and cast members. But the happenings in the new season are still not mentioned and the fans seem excited to know more about that.
Who will be the showrunner this time? 13 Reasons Why Season 1 had Brian Yorkey as the showrunner at that time. He will return to helm the show again for 13 more brand new-hour long episodes.
The official twitter handle of 13 Reasons Why shared a teaser trailer which confirmed the second installment. It also included some catchy sites from season1 like The Crestmont, Monet, and Liberty High School. The video has a tagline that says, ‘Their Story isn’t over.’
Any official date for the release hasn’t been announced yet. Christian Navarro, who plays who plays Tony Padilla, was seen sharing some updates regarding the filming for the s2 which began in June 2017. Season 1 premiered on 31 March 2017. Possibly, the launch date for season 2 would be nearly the same or just around this date in the next year.

13 Reasons Why Season 2: Cast and Characters
The showrunner wanted to make it an anthology series, but it will return where it left off with the same cast and same setting. Everyone might be waiting to know whether Hannah Baker is back or not. For her fans, let me tell you that Katherine Langford is back on the set once again for 13 Reasons Why season 2.
But “what about Hannah’s death? Is there anyone to be blamed for her death? This question needs to be answered”, Yorkey said. Can we blame the school? Or someone else to be blamed? Some day or the other, the answers would be out. This will further lead the journey into Hannah’s life story (past).
Next, we see Dylan Minnette as Clay Jensen joining the second season too. The show can’t continue without him. Christian Navarro as Tony Padilla would be giving his remarkable performance once again in the brand new season. Ross Butler is returning back again as Zach Dempsey. His role just clicked the confirmation toggle. He left Riverdale to become a part of 13RW.

Brandon Flynn is in lights again. He would be enacting the role of Justin Foley. Also, he mentioned his upcoming on the social media itself. Alisha Boe as Jessica Davis and Justin Prentice as Bryce Walker would be seen in the second season too. Miles Heizer as Alex Standall make a comment on his cliffhanger ending- He will be returning soon.
Michele Selene Ang cheered up his fellow cast members by posting on social media. He would be returning as Courtney Crimson in the second installment of 13 Reasons Why. Brian d’Arcy James wishes for his return as Andy Baker in the show. For those who are unaware, let me tell you that he acted as the father of Hannah Baker in Season1.
Other roles include Devin Druid as Tyler Down, Ajiona Alexus as Sherri Holland, Amy Hargreaves as Lainie Jensen Timothy Granaderos as Montgomery de la Cruz and Tommy Dorfman as Ryan Shaver. Each of them made their renewal news out on their social media sites. The star, Brandon Larracuente said that he would love to continue his role as Jeff Atkins as was in Season 1.
The fans of Selena Gomez got disappointed after knowing that she didn’t appear for her cameo in season 1. And the fans shouldn’t get excited expecting to see her in the upcoming installment too. However, Hargreaves hasn’t ruled out entirely the possibility of Selena Gomez this time around.
The star cast list isn’t over yet. In the month of June, there was an open casting call for the students, scholars, cheerleaders, baseball players, athletes, boxers, teachers, and coffee shop patrons. Everyone was encouraged to participate in the call. The month of August brought up some new characters.
The role of Jackie, a supporter for the sufferers of coercing is given to the Tony award-winning Broadway star- Kelli O’Hara. She was also a cast member of Masters of Sex. Bryce Cass will be enacting the role of Cyrus, an edgy, cynical mischief maker. Mackenzie, his on-screen sister too acted as Chelsea Alden on the sets. She can also be recognized from the show American Horror Story
The other participants in the Liberty High School in the upcoming season are Samantha Logan as track star Nina an Anne Winters as the cheerleader Chloe. Samantha can be recognized from ‘The Fosters’ and Anne from ‘Tyrant.’ Not only is this the summary for the list of cast and characters. Other joining’s include Ben Lawson as Rick, the basketball coach in the 13 Reasons Why season 2.
Allison Miller from ‘Kings’ would be artistic in playing the role of a young litigator, Sonya. Her role will be important in the lawsuit which Hannah’s parents filed against the school. Further, Bryce’s parents’ role (Nora and Barry) will be played by Brenda Strong and Jake Weber. Meredith Monroe would be acting the part of Alex’s mother Carolyn in season 2.
The part of Caleb would be given to RJ Brown. Caleb’s role is one of a boxing trainer, who has a wry sense of humor.

13 Reasons Why Season 2 Spoilers: What Happens Next?
The season 1 tapes happened to be discarded this time. The story will no longer run over and over around Hannah’s narration. New happenings will be surrounded with new situations in the season 2.
Rather we’ll get to see a different analogue technology which will have a great impact in the 13 Reasons Why season 2. Yorkey threw light over the coming season. The main point just seems to make something that is much newer and happening. This is absolutely true that the story would be matching to some extent from first installment as it’s the basis for the new season. But renewal would be much more modified and enhanced.
S1 just gave enormous light on Hannah’s character. But this time, there is no Hannah-Hannah going on. Many broad concepts would be given light this time. The voiceover is offered to someone else now.
Hanna’s story would be given some other perspectives too. It’s important as a few characters questioned her truth at a certain point of time. This sounds thrilling. Earlier, we remember that only a little time was given to verify Hannah’s truth. More detective work would be applied to the new installment and which obviously seems exciting to know.
The letter given to Zach by Hannah may be the center of focus. According to Hannah, that was considered just a piece of paper by Zach and was thrown away denying to the help Hannah asked. In reality, the letter is still with Zach. What is Hannah thinking in her mind? Or was she mistaken? We’ll see in the new episodes. This will be discovered soon.
While having a conversation with Kate Walsh, Hannah’s mother Olivia Baker, she revealed that in the new season, the mysteries will start resolving. And everyone will get to know the things far much better. She is still trying to find what had happened to her daughter. Of course, the answers are needed at this very moment. So, Olivia is just referring to get some help in the matter.
Jessica seems to be in the moment and back after the rape incident with her. On the other hand, Bryce who raped Jessica and Hannah seems to have no regret. But definitely, he will be justifiably punished. He will face consequences. It’s just matter of time.
How can we forget the school counselor, Kevin Porter? Can we say he is also responsible for the unfortunate incidents? Maybe if he is not the accountable person but still he must have himself questioned the responsibilities towards the school. Some light would be thrown on this part too in the renewed season.
All the cliffhanger endings will be explained in the new installment. The structures would not be left hanging in the air anymore.

13 Reasons Why Season 2 Theories: Was Alex Shot By Tyler?
Season1 ended with many things left unsorted. The audience expects to look into every aspect very closely. The detective eyes of the fans are seeking clues for the season 2. Fan theories have started popping up which is both clever and imaginative.
One of the most popular cliffhanger endings is of Alex. What things forced him to shot himself? Fans believe that Tyler shot him instead. It remained unanswered in season 1. The viewers expect to get some light on this part.
Another theory formed is that Tyler shot him. Is there any clue that Tyler was the shooter? Irrespective of that, it is already known that he had a stash of guns. Next season calls for solving the puzzles and bringing out a true image of the things happened to result in Alex’s death. Miles Heizer, who plays Alex, has already denied this theory.
The viewers get to a conclusion that in the ambulance it wasn’t Alex. It maybe Bryce or Justin as per the audience. Don’t know what’s happening all around there! But this is the fact that needs to be revealed in the beginning of 13 Reasons Why season 2 episodes.
The finger is pointed out towards Tyler as he was found with some guns along with him. Also, we saw Alex’s photo in his studio. This may reveal that he already had a plan to shoot him. But the things get even closer when we see the photos of other students also in the studio. This leads to a confusing part which is a must to be answered by the team of 13 Reasons Why.
Another theory formed is that Tony is either a ghost or a figment of Clay’s imaginative world. When new things disclose, more imaginations surround in one’s mind. Lets’ see what part may be revealing this theory again.
