The Accidental Prime Minister 4th Day Collection dropped dramatically after honeymoon weekend. The movie got disastrous reviews from critics around the world. Most of the Bollywood critics termed the movie “Propaganda” and “Baseless” despite all this, film made good money on the Indian box office.

The movie was produced with a budget of 30 crore rupees and it seems a tough deal to make the money to cover production cost, considering the profits from the box office. The movie was officially endorsed by India’s leading political party BJP officially on the Twitter channel which helped the film gain momentum.

Although the film was able to get a good number of screens around the country. Comprising majority of screens at the Hindi belt region of North India, the film was released in around 1400 screens throughout the country which is yet a good number. Although despite getting a release in Punjab, the film suffered a regional backlash by local leaders for showing “Sikhs in a bad light”.

On the 3rd day, Accidental Prime Minister was not able to take a good leap. Even on Sunday, the film gained only 50 lakh rupees which were not a decent figure considering the large scale popularity among masses. Apparently negative reviews played a crucial role here.

Coming on the first weekday, the ticket price dropped which reflected on earnings of the film as well. Movie was not able to gather more than 20% occupancy around the country. With limited occupancy, the earnings were not satisfactory.
