Joseph Gramaglia, Buffalo Police Commissioner, told TheReporterTimes that the mass shooting in Buffalo took place at 2:30 pm. According to him, an 18-year-old White man is the suspect and is in custody now. However, he is not a local. He drove his vehicle to a Tops Friendly Market. He hasn’t been identified yet, but was heavily armed and had a tactical helmet and gear.
Initially, the suspect shot four people in the parking lot out of which three died. Upon entering the store, he came across a retired police officer who used to work in the store as a security guard. The guard fired at him, but the bullets couldn’t harm him due to his tactical gear. The suspect fired at the guard, and he got killed. The security guard hasn’t been named yet.
After a while, the suspect came to the store’s front. Then, he encountered police by putting a gun to his neck. But the police were able to talk him into putting the gun down. There are unconfirmed reports that say the suspect streamed the mass shooting live on Twitch using the name Jimboboiii.
Eventually, the suspect surrendered himself to the police. Then, he was taken into custody.
Our correspondent was told that the police are considering this case as a hate crime and a case of racially motivated violent extremism.
