So here are the complete details of Lakshmi/ Laxmi Pooja 2018 on Deepavali. We have also mentioned the important mantras and everything you are going to need for Diwali poojan. The rituals may be slightly different in some places depending on the situations. The basic Lakshmi Puja vidhi is mentioned below in the post.

Necessary items to be made available before Diwali Laxmi Poojan 2018. Arrange these items before the actual pujan on the day. We recommend you to purchase all of them from poor people as you could help them in earning a living by doing so. Laxmi pooja is meant to do on Saturday itself.

Duration = 1 Hour 58 Mins
Pradosh Kaal = 17:41 to 20:17
Vrishabha Kaal = 18:12 to 20:10
Amavasya Tithi Begins = 22:27 on 6/Nov/2018
Amavasya Tithi Ends = 21:31 on 7/Nov/2018

On Sunday, you can simply recite the mantras mentioned at the last of the post.
- One Deepak made out of atta/clay with 4 wicks (बाती).
- Wicks (बाती) for the Deepak
- Oil/Ghee and one matchstick
- One shell with a hole
- Flowers, roli, Rice (Chawal)
- Water in panchpatra and a spoon
- Some money for donation purposes
- Pata & Aasan
- Kheel & batasha
- Dhoop (sambrani) & dhoop daan
- Chopda with roli, chawal for applying tikka
- Suhali, petha (shaker para)

Lakshmi Pooja Vidhi
- First of all, place a chowki (stool) on puja place and spread a red cloth on it.
- Place Lord Ganesh-Lakshmi photo or idols on the chowki.
- Put a small plate on chowki. The plate should be enough to have 11 small lamps.
- Put some silver coins on it. If you can’t afford silver coins, coins with Laxmi Ganesh idol would also be fine.
- Prepare a thali having 11 or 21 earthen lamps. Fill some ghee or mustard oil in earthen lamps and place wicks (बाती) in all of them. Place this thali on Chowki as shown in the photo. Laxmi Puja 2018 Muhurat Timings, Pooja Vidhi, Mantra, Songs
- Now draw a swastika in the middle of the plate with roli at the center of the thali.
- Place a 4 faced earthen lamp at the center of the thali. You can use the big lamp for this purpose.
- Put some sugar in all earthen lamps. You can also put kheel, murmura, and makhana in them.
- Light 4 faced earthen lamp first, as it will be easy to get the other after that. After that, light all earthen lamps in the thali.
- Offer tilak to Lord Ganesha, Lakshmi, and Saraswati. Put rice on Tilak.
