Johnny Depp vs Amber Heard defamation trial took an even more bizarre turn as one of Heard’s lawyers accused a witness, Morgan Night, of following That Umbrella Guy on Twitter. It’s because they said Twitter user is one of Depp’s biggest cheerleaders online.
On being asked if he follows someone who goes by The Umbrella Guy on Twitter, Morgan replied that he has no idea and doesn’t care or follow that guy. Moreover, he testified under oath-taking the courtroom giggled. According to Morgan, he wasn’t familiar with Adam Waldman, one of Depp’s former lawyers.
Heard’s lawyer Elaine Bredehoft told the court that Morgan followed and often spoke to That Umbrella Guy. Hearing the statement, Night appeared confused and said it sounded like schizophrenia. Heard also stifled a laugh at her attorney’s question.
Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp defamation trial has entered its sixth and last week. The Pirates of the Caribbean Sea actor brought to trial against his ex-wife and Acquaman actress, alleging she defamed him when she described herself as a victim of domestic violence in a Washington Post op-ed. In response to Depp’s $50 million cases, Heard filed a $100 million countersuit. Johnny and Depp’s relationship ended in divorce in 2016. Since then, both have been claiming to be victims of domestic violence.
The lawyers of Johnny Depp brought Morgan Night as a rebuttal witness to describe the Hicksville incident. In May 2013, Johnny and Heard arrived at the Hicksville Trailer Palace in Joshua Tree, California, to spend some time together. Morgan claimed that Amber yelled loudly at Johnny one evening, and the next evening, Depp appeared to be quiet and less like himself.
However, Depp claims that a friend put her hands on his then-girlfriend in an intimate way and that he punched a wall. Whereas Heard claimed that Depp was high on shrooms, trashed the trailer, and sexually assaulted her. But, the witness, Morgan Night, thrashed Heard’s claims.
In 2013, Night used to do managerial work and oversaw Hicksville Trailer Park. According to him, Heard seemed standoffish in their interactions, and at one point, she took Depp away into their trailer. Night said that when he talked to Depp, Heard came over and said she wanted to talk to him. She appeared really upset. As a result, Night went back into the house, and the then-couple went inside their trailer.

Morgan continued to say that he heard Amber screaming and yelling at Depp. And the incident disturbed him as well because he had been a victim of an abusive relationship in his past.
Night said Deep appeared to be cowering during the conversation and seemed afraid. The whole situation appeared odd to him as Johnny is much older than Heard. Moreover, Depp even apologized to Night about the incident. One of Night’s employees told him about a mess in Depp’s and Heard’s trailer the next morning.

Night got relief when he got there as everything was good except a broken light sconce. He replaced it after finding a replacement on eBay a few weeks later. However, he did charge Depp’s assistant $62 for the trouble. According to his testimony, Night didn’t charge him a piggy fee for making a mess at the trailer park. He waived it off because the trailer’s interior was neat.
At this juncture, Bredehoft tried to have judge Azcarate block Morgan Night for taking the stand. It’s because Night had tweeted about testimony in the trial on Twitter involving That Umbrella Guy, who frequently criticizes Heard and supports Depp.

On April 21, That Umbrella Guy tweet said that the Hicksville incident would go against Depp. But Night disagreed and tweeted that it never happened as he was there with them all Night. The tweet also mentioned that Amber was the one acting all jealous and crazy.
